Wood is a natural product that expands and contracts with moisture. Maintain relative humidity levels between 50 to 60%. This includes the basement. |

All wood flooring will dent and scratch. Although the finish is one of the hardest and most durable on the market, sharp or pointed objects will damage it. |

UV light will eventually change the color of all hardwood flooring. Frequently move rugs and furniture so the floor ages evenly. |

Trim pets nails on a regular basis to minimize indentations. All pets can indent wood floors to varying degrees. |

|
When moving heavy furniture such as a piano or refrigerator, roll on plywood sheets, never roll directly on your floor. |

| REPAIR |

Use a latex filler to fill small gaps and nail holes. If it is a new Brazilian Cherry or American Cherry floor remember to use a darker putty. |

If a board is severally damaged it may be cut out and replaced. At time of installation save a few extra pieces of wood for repairs. |
